A biochemistry and molecular biology major, KC Sullivan claimed that her I.S. served as an excellent self-marketing tool when she interviewed for jobs after graduation because it showcased her ability to design and troubleshoot experiments, analyze data, and communicate results clearly and concisely. Within a few weeks of graduating, she had landed a research position with a Chinese biotech company doing vaccine research and development. After a rewarding year of work in the industry, she decided to enroll in the Immunology Graduate Training Program at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She is grateful to her faculty and mentors at Wooster who continue to support her, not just with letters of recommendation, but also with her plans to continue a career in research.
